La Jolla wedding vendor recommendation: La Jolla Cove Suites

We often get the chance to cater weddings on the La Jolla Cove Suites' oceanfront rooftop that overlooks La Jolla Cove and Scripps Park...what a beautiful wedding setting.  Because it's near restaurant row and just steps from the Pacific Ocean, the La Jolla Cove Suites is the perfect location for a La Jolla wedding.

 

The 12,000-square-foot Terrace is like a grand blank canvas on which you can paint your own event. There are very few restrictions, and a dedicated staff is there to help you design the space to suit your needs. At night built-in lamps resembling old-fashioned streetlights provide soft, romantic lighting.  You’re also free to choose your own caterer, cake maker and other service providers.

A wedding at La Jolla Cove Suites allows out-of-town guests a chance to visit one of California’s vacation hot spots and stay in an ocean view apartment-style suite at a group discount, depending on the season. 

The beachfront hotel is just a short stroll from Downtown La Jolla, a shopping district with galleries and upscale boutiques, that’s often compared to Rodeo Drive. The hotel is also close to several choice snorkeling points and steps from a beach where sea lions often gather.

Bob & Meredy's wedding | La Jolla Woman's Club

WOW!  When I say beautiful and creative I mean beautiful and creative.  Our Event Coordinators inspired me with  an “indoor picnic” style wedding for one of my favorite clients, Bob and Meredy.  There were market umbrellas opened atop these incredibly beautiful table settings which provided a bright and fun atmosphere.

To keep the celebration even more entertaining for guests Authentic Flavors created stations of classic American favorites with an upscale twist.  The Mac – n- cheese martini bar with toppings like roasted poblano peppers, fresh lobster and toasted pine nuts were among one of the favorites.

After the wedding the requests for recipe secrets came pouring into Authentic Flavors and according to the overjoyed bride, people just couldn’t stop talking about the food.

 

Our bride, Meredy said, "I can’t stop thinking about the food..so much I'm staying up at night dreaming about it!"  What a great compliment from an even greater bride.

Desiree & Cory Rohlf's wedding | Rancho La Jolla

We had an amazing time with Desiree & Cory at the Rancho La Jolla.  Their childhood dream wedding came true and we were honored to be a part of it.

Held at the 6 acre Rancho La Jolla Estate above black’s beach the couple’s 120 guests were treated to an impeccable 6 course dinner by our executive Chef, Jeff Stanko who prepared entrees that were not only unique and a departure from the expected wedding food, but cooked to perfection. 

Items such as individual Insalata Mistas served in Parmesan cups along with Macadamia Nut and Horse Radish crusted Halibut left guests raving  about the food.  

With a wedding of this magnitude a great amount of planning and creativity was put into place by Authentic Flavor’s expert Coordinator, Mark Vogel.    Mark has a way of making you feel like you're the only bride he’s ever worked with and brings the excitement of planning a dream wedding for the first time said the elated bride.
